🔔 Sign-IN/OUT:
You will be notified by email to download the school's app Brightwheel (free), and your child's registration will be uploaded a few days before the start of camps
It is your responsibility to add an APPROVED PICKUP in the app and inform your child's camp leader of any changes. The invitation to the school's app can only be sent to the email address provided at registration.
Please ensure you add a photo ID as soon as your child appears in the app.
Sign IN/OUT is done through the app. (Mandatory)
- If your child hasn’t settled into camp within 30 to 60 minutes, the camp reserves the right to request an immediate pickup to minimize distractions for other campers.
🛍️ What to send
It is recommended for your child to bring his/her backpack with the following essentials:
Extra clothing in a zip-loc bag
Healthy snacks and lunch (half-days: snacks only; full-days: morning & afternoon snacks and lunch)
A reusable water bottle (that could be closed tightly to prevent spilling)
Summer essentials (required and mandatory): hat, bug repellent (an OFF clip-on would be best), and sunscreen cream (please no aerosols/sprays). Campers without summer essentials will stay inside with staff during outdoor play or on-site nature explorations. STEAM Explorers: It is the parents’ responsibility to show the staff how and when to apply sunscreen.
Children in potty training: please include extra pull-ups and diaper rash cream (at parents’ discretion).
Health & Safety: The camp will adhere to the current Public Health measures, and necessary supplies will be provided (i.e. hand sanitizers, disposable face shields, etc.). Daily check-in may include temperature checks.
Extreme Heat & Poor Air Quality – Playground time may be suspended or reduced. Announcements will be sent via Brightwheel the day before or on the morning of camp.
Absent/Sick Policy: You are required to inform us via the app if your child is not coming to camp the next day. If your child is vomiting, has a fever or diarrhea, has an excessive cough, or has any contagious illness such as “pink eye,” please keep them at home.
Late Policy: Bringing your child late is very distracting to everyone in the camp. Please be considerate and try to keep late arrivals to a minimum. We allow a 5-minute grace period to pick up your child, for emergencies only.
Lost and Found: If your child has lost something, please inform the camp leaders or email us at info@ciacademy.ca
Withdrawal of Services: If you wish to withdraw your child from the camp, requests must be sent to info@ciacademy.ca at least 30 days prior to the scheduled camp start date.
The camp reserves the right to ask for the withdrawal of a child whose behaviour makes the environment unsafe for other children. Similarly, parents are asked to be respectful to staff, and any complaints should be sent to info@ciacademy.ca.
Toys/Electronics: Please refrain from allowing your child to bring any toys/electronics from home, as we are not responsible for any damage, loss, or theft.
Please don’t hesitate to speak with us if you have any further questions or concerns about your child’s camp experience!
Have a wonderful summer!
